Saariselkä - the heart of wild Lapland
Saariselkä is a dynamic, compact tourist centre in Lapland. To the East there is the village of Saariselkä and to the West looms the golden hues of Ivalo river. When looking South there are the plains of Sompio and in the North, you will see the backwoods of Luto and mountain Tsarmi.
Saariselkä is located in Inari commune, 250 kilometres north from the Polar Circle, near the Urho Kekkonen National Park. The distance from Ivalo airport is 25 kilometres and the easiest way to get to Saariselkä is to take an airport bus.
