A Safari beginning in Stockholm

There is much to do in Sweden for both adults and children. Kolmården is familiar to many, but remains ever charming nonetheless. In Småland, on the other hand, you might run across Pippi Longstocking and seals.

Kolmården is on route E4 about 22 miles north of Norrköping. The journey from Stockholm is a little over 90 miles. The area offers the largest safari park in the Nordic countries, with enough space for even the largest of territorial beasts. One speciality of Kolmården is the wild animal safari, where only the car windows separate you from lions, wolves and bears.

East Småland is an attractive region for motorists. The inland areas include Vimmerby and the world of Astrid Lindgren, as well as Glasriket, where you can even try your own hand at glassblowing. The coast, on the other hand, provides genuine archipelago scenery with basking seals, together with the towns of Oskarshamn and Kalmar. The Öland district is an ideal venue for a peaceful holiday break in the scenery preferred by the Swedish royal family.

The basic price includes round-trip flights from Helsinki, airport taxes and passenger charges payable in advance and car rental. The car rental includes collision damage waiver, local tax, theft protection, unlimited mileage, liability insurance supplement and airport fee. Additional driver and equipment, possible drop-off charge in case the car is returned to another location than is was picked up, as well as other services at the destination are payable on the spot with credit card.
